The "Jubiläumsgrat" is one of Germany's prime ridge traverses. It connects the Zugspitze (2962m, Germany's highest peak) with the Alpspitze and can be completed in a single day with a strong client. It is more relaxed though to go up to the summit either by foot or with the help of the Gondola the day before the traverse. That way you can enjoy the sunset from the hut built right on the summit before you start the climb early the next morning.
